Core Commitments

We collaborate with members, the Missouri Department of Transportation, counties, cities, towns, and developers to develop and uphold quality construction specifications.

  • Access to the latest technical information, process updates, and industry innovations.
  • Opportunities to network and exchange ideas in person.
  • Participation in committees and influence on industry direction.

MAPA promotes asphalt adoption and best practices through multiple channels — print, online, on-site visits, targeted marketing, regional meetings, conferences, and training events.

  • Lunch & Learns: Held across the state during midday, lasting up to 4 hours, often offering Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
  • Spring Training: A two-day event covering multiple tracks (Field & Lab Operations, Asphalt Plant Operations, and Design/Construction benefits). These sessions are relevant to contractors, public works staff, consultants, and engineers.
  • Scholarships: MAPA administers scholarships (via MAPA-REF) for students in infrastructure-related fields (engineering, surveying, construction management, etc.).
